Hey, you could say that BOTH annuals were team-ups! No shared foe for Thor and Hercules, but they did the first half of the “fight first then work together.” It’s either “Spidey’s so cool, he just rolls with anything” or “maybe there’s a missing thought balloon of Peter thinking Dr Strange and the bad guy were pulling Mysterio type tricks.” Peter does seem more like one of the Scooby gang, debunking the mystical, than a believer. His stories have been street level crime dramas until now, and some sci-fi-ish adventures, but no fantasy/magic settings yet.
